OUR TEAM

Kim Harris has spent her life transforming the urban settings that raised and propelled her successfully.  She is a viscerally astute ambassador of multi-dimensional African American aesthetics and traditions.  As a cultural architect, her personal experience and business acumen--made global through her extensive world travels--is woven into her authentic, interpersonal coaching style.  Kim acknowledges, observes and studies the relationships and vibes among the constituents of a company. Breaking the chains of traditional approaches to leadership, Kim’s approach is more concentric as it focuses on leaders as influencers, motivators and creative thought engagers. Besides helping leaders to create models that ensure relatability and consistent escalation in profit, Kim teaches the centering of  trust building. It is that same unwavering culture of authenticity and commitment to  intentional design that has allowed Kim consistently to move her needle of engagement and make strides in impactful entrepreneurship.

Kim’s penchant for deep learning and passion for explorative collaboration has allowed her to navigate positions in myriad industries.  She has worked in extensive Project Management  in “Big Pharma”.  Her event planning expertise has landed her placements with Sports Giants: USTA, NBA, NFL.  She flipped these same skills to Artist Promotion and Talent Management gaining a keen understanding of marketing through Mass Media, Web Design and Social Platforms.  Kim’s nimble positioning of these varied expertise became the foundation that propelled her to become CEO of her event company: Painting It Red-- a New York based Event Strategy and Marketing firm that conceptualizes, plans and produces world-class, multi- million-dollar corporate, entertainment and marketing events.

The latest extension of her company’s services strung with a collection of hospitality experiences while consulting on restaurant openings in various cities throughout the United States, inspired her vision for Harlem Hops-- an award winning beer bar and casual dining restaurant-- centered around Kim’s multi-prong hospitality concept and including her partners’ expertise. The Central Harlem enterprise is designed around the cultural legacy of African Americans within a global context.

From NBA All Star, Super Bowl and Grammy Award weekends, to high profile record releases, sports tournaments, benefit concerts, charity auctions,  to customized group travel packages, branded product launches, and private culinary experiences, Kim is adept at creating the right combination of atmospherics and value based indicators to help clients burnish their image, brand and impact the bottom line.

Kim’s personal bottom line is centered around purpose. She values formal and skill- based pragmatic education as her own path has been a winding road to her success. Consistently in motion, her keen vision continues to expand spurring a new branch dedicated to reimagining education through and beyond the elementary years.
